Oz Bengur is a 1971 graduate of Princeton University and received a graduate degree in 1976 from the University of Cambridge in England. He has more than 25 years experience as an investment banker, small businessman and entrepreneur. Oz was a Principal in the Public and Corporate Finance Departments of Alex Brown & Sons where he managed over $1 billion in financings for state and local governments and raised growth capital through stock and bond offerings for small and mid-sized companies. In 1991, Oz co-founded his own firm that provides financial advisory services including mergers and acquisition advice to small and mid-size companies. He also co-founded several small businesses. He currently serves chairman of PJPA, LLC, a Papa John's Pizza franchisee and Mid-Atlantic Burgers, LLC. Prior to entering the investment banking business, Oz served in state government as an assistant to the Governor of Maine with responsibilities in housing finance, energy, and corrections. He has also been active in his community serving on numerous not-for-profit boards. He is a former congressional candidate and has appeared as a political commentator on radio and television and as a speaker on U.S. and international issues.
